ANALISIS STRUKTUR NARATIF VLADIMIR PROPP TERHADAP CERITA RAKYAT “PULAU SIMARDAN”

Abstract


This article aims to analyze the Indonesian folktale "Pulau Simardan" based on the narrative function proposed by Vladimir Propp. The analysis focuses on the actor's function. The research method uses qualitative descriptive, namely describing, explaining, and describing the narrative structure in the Indonesian folktale "Pulau Simardan" in the Tapanuli community. Based on the analysis, there are 31 actor functions in the Indonesian folktale "Pulau Simardan". By using Propp's theory, it is obtained in detail (1) the actor's function which has been explained for each function, a brief definition of each function in one word, along with symbols; (2) the distribution of functions among actors; (3) the story movement scheme. From Propp's theory, it is also known that there are fixed elements and changing elements. The fixed element is the act or action, while the changing element is the actor or sufferer.
